Currently also working as an Adjunct Professor in Alverno College's Masters Program in Curriculum and Instruction, Rosalynn is best known among North Shore residents as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Bayside Schools from 1994-2008. She has a Ph.D in Administrative Leadership along with involvement in multiple state and area organizations dedicated to providing excellence in literacy and improving education for all students. We are thrilled to have Rosalynn on our team!
Judi kelley Judi Kelley is the Director of Learning at Knowledge Edge. She holds a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Western Illinois University and a M.S. degree in Education Administration from Northern Illinois University. Judi has a diverse, extensive career as an educator, ranging from work as an elementary teacher to teaching adults at a junior college. Judi was a Director of Education for five years at Sylvan Learning Center prior to serving as an assistant principal at an urban Milwaukee school and a principal in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Judi is a strong advocate for meeting individual needs of students and is pleased to be part of the Knowledge Edge team.
Ann Brownfield Ann Brownfield has a BS in Communications from Northwestern University and earned her teacher certification in English and Speech through Concordia University-Wisconsin. Prior to teaching, Ann had a lengthy career in Human Resources management and consulting, and also worked as a free-lance writer. Both her practical and classroom experience have fueled her desire to help kids become better writers and communicators. “Communication is a key 21st century skill. It is imperative that students learn to use language effectively in order to articulate their ideas.” We are pleased to have Ann’s knowledge and experience on staff at Knowledge Edge
Eden Mitchell

Eden Mitchell has nine years of experience teaching high school English full time at both public and private schools. A cum laude graduate of Trinity International University, for the past five years she has been on the cutting edge of education, teaching English online with Wisconsin Virtual School while staying home with her young children.  At Knowledge Edge, Eden tutors in all areas of English, Language Arts, Reading and Writing.  "Teaching English is my passion because one can apply it to every aspect of life.  We read, write, listen, and speak continuously and always have something new to learn as we improve our ability to communicate."  We are proud to have Eden working with your students at Knowledge Edge!

Susan Johansen brings a wealth of practical experience to her work, primarily tutoring high school students for the ACT/SAT. Susan had a lengthy career in market research management which included coaching junior staff in writing proposals and reports, editing colleagues' written work, and serving as de facto corporate grammarian. Her expertise in English has deep roots, starting with a B.A. in English from Vassar College and graduate work at the University of Rochester (NY).  Recently she has also tutored grade school students in MPS.  We are pleased to have her knowledge and expertise at work for our students.
Rick Eyers, who has been with Knowledge Edge nearly two years, holds a B.S. degree in Physics from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Rick tutors in multiple subjects including math, science and reading, and has particular insight into the ACT test:  he earned a perfect score of 36, a feat accomplished by less than a tenth of a percent of all test takers!  Rick believes “learning to learn is important.  I try to not just tell my students what to do but how to figure it out themselves…I try to teach them how to learn.”  We welcome the passion for learning that Rick shares with our students!
Rich Valentine has a BS in Physics and Astronomy from Beloit College and earned his teacher certification at the University of Southern Indiana.  Rich has experience teaching science in a high school classroom and through 8 years of work at science museums in Rockford IL and Evansville IN, bringing science to life for kids of all ages.  Rich enjoys teaching science and physics in particular, “because I have a passion for it and love how it’s easy to see results and to be able to explain why different things happen.” Knowledge Edge is fortunate to have Rich sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with students of math, science, and reading.
Samantha Hindin Samantha Hindin has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Indiana University. A 2007 Homestead High School graduate, Samantha has always wanted to work with children and is excited to be working at Knowledge Edge. According to Samantha, her goal is “to always have a positive effect on students and help change their lives.” We welcome Samantha to the team at Knowledge Edge!
